Product Description
Chemical Industrial Decanter Centrifuge for Process Slurry
Chemical Industrial Decanter Centrifuge for Process Slurry 0
Description

Chemical Industry Industrial Decanter Centrifuge is designed for continuous solid-liquid separation in chemical production, fine chemical processing, corrosive sludge treatment, and process slurry handling.

Unlike a general chemical sludge dewatering centrifuge, this product is not limited to wastewater sludge volume reduction. It is also suitable for process slurry separation, crystallization mother liquor separation, chemical precipitate recovery, and continuous solid-liquid separation in chemical production lines.

Compared with a standard industrial decanter centrifuge, this model focuses on chemical compatibility, corrosion-resistant material selection, stable separation of complex chemical slurry, sealing reliability, and integration with chemical process systems.

Typical Chemical Industry Applications
  • Chemical precipitation sludge dewatering
  • Fine chemical process slurry separation
  • Pesticide chemical sludge treatment
  • Dye and pigment process slurry separation
  • Chemical crystallization mother liquor separation
  • Corrosive reaction slurry separation
  • Inorganic chemical slurry dewatering
  • Process residue solid-liquid separation
  • Chemical wastewater pretreatment sludge separation

Why Chemical Sludge and Process Slurry Need Customized Design

Chemical industry materials are often more complex than ordinary municipal or general wastewater sludge.

They may contain:

  • Acidic or alkaline components
  • High salt content
  • Fine precipitated particles
  • Crystals or inorganic solids
  • Pigment or dye particles
  • Sticky chemical flocs
  • Solvent residue
  • Corrosive liquid phase
  • Abrasive inorganic particles
  • Fluctuating feed concentration

If the decanter centrifuge is selected only by flow rate, the system may face unstable separation, corrosion damage, poor cake discharge, high liquid SS, or frequent maintenance.

For chemical industry applications, the centrifuge should be selected according to both separation target and chemical working condition.

For chemical applications, material selection should be confirmed based on actual composition instead of only using the industry name.

How the Decanter Centrifuge Works in Chemical Sludge and Process Slurry
  1. Chemical sludge or process slurry enters the rotating bowl through the feed pipe.
  2. Under centrifugal force, heavier chemical solids, precipitates, crystals, or flocculated particles move outward and form a sediment layer on the inner wall of the bowl.
  3. The clarified liquid phase stays closer to the center and is discharged continuously through the liquid outlet.
  4. At the same time, the screw conveyor rotates at a controlled differential speed and pushes the separated solids toward the discharge end.

Main Advantages in Chemical and Fine Chemical Applications
Designed for Chemical Process Conditions

Suitable for chemical sludge, corrosive slurry, crystallization mother liquor, high-salt sludge, and process residue separation.

Flexible Material Selection

Contact materials can be selected according to pH, salt content, temperature, solvent residue, and corrosion condition.

Stable Solid-Liquid Separation

The machine supports continuous separation of chemical precipitates, fine particles, crystals, flocs, and process solids.

Better Integration with Chemical Production Lines

It can be used in wastewater treatment sections, process slurry handling sections, crystallization systems, or chemical residue treatment systems.

Custom Sealing and Safety Design

Sealing, cover, vapor control, and explosion-proof options can be configured when the process contains odor, solvent, corrosive vapor, or flammable components.

Reduced Sludge and Residue Handling Load

The centrifuge helps reduce liquid content in chemical sludge or process residue, lowering downstream handling, drying, or disposal load.

Expected Results

With suitable pretreatment, material selection, dosing control, and stable operation, this chemical industry industrial decanter centrifuge can typically help achieve:

  • 75–95% solid capture rate, depending on particle size and flocculation effect
  • 60–90% suspended solids reduction, depending on separation target
  • 20–40% cake solids content, depending on chemical sludge or slurry type
  • 30–60% sludge or residue volume reduction
  • 20–50% lower downstream handling or disposal load
  • More stable mother liquor and solid separation
  • Lower load on downstream filtration, drying, or disposal systems
  • More stable continuous solid-liquid separation in chemical process lines
  • Better adaptability to corrosive, high-salt, or chemically complex slurry

Actual results depend on sludge composition, process chemistry, pH, salt content, temperature, particle size, viscosity, flocculation effect, feed stability, and operating settings.

Pilot testing is recommended when the material composition varies significantly or when the separation target is strict.

FAQ
Is this machine only for chemical wastewater sludge?

No. This page is not limited to wastewater sludge dewatering. It can also be used for chemical process slurry, crystallization mother liquor, high-salt sludge, reaction residue slurry, and solid-liquid separation in chemical production.

How is this different from a chemical sludge dewatering decanter?

A chemical sludge dewatering decanter mainly focuses on reducing wastewater sludge volume and disposal cost. This chemical industry decanter focuses more on chemical process separation, corrosive slurry handling, mother liquor separation, and integration with chemical production lines.

Can it handle corrosive chemical slurry?

Yes. Contact material, sealing design, liquid outlet, screw conveyor, and bowl material can be selected according to pH, temperature, salt content, solvent residue, and actual chemical composition.

Can it be used for crystallization mother liquor separation?

Yes. It can be used for separating crystals or suspended solids from mother liquor, but particle size, crystal hardness, viscosity, temperature, and corrosion condition should be confirmed before selection.

Is polymer dosing required?

It depends on the material. Chemical precipitated sludge and fine flocs often require polymer dosing, while crystal slurry or some process solids may not need it. Dosing should be confirmed according to feed characteristics and target result.
