Product Description
Low Floc Shearing Protection and Anti-Abrasion Two Phase Decanter Centrifuge for Pulp and Deinking Sludge

Low Floc Shearing Protection and Anti-Abrasion Two Phase Decanter Centrifuge for Pulp and Deinking Sludge 0

Description

Pulp, Paper & Deinking Sludge Decanter is designed for continuous solid-liquid separation of paper mill sludge, deinking sludge, fiber-rich wastewater, and white water solids.
For most paper mill sludge and fiber recovery applications, the recommended configuration is a two-phase decanter centrifuge because the main target is to separate fibers, fillers, and sludge solids from water.

Best-Fit Applications
  • Primary sludge dewatering
  • Secondary sludge dewatering
  • Deinking sludge treatment
  • Pulp fiber recovery
  • White water solid recovery
  • Paper mill wastewater sludge concentration

Typical materials include pulp fibers, fillers, fine suspended solids, deinking sludge, biological sludge, and paper mill wastewater.

Why Two-Phase is Recommended
  • The feed mainly contains solid fibers / fillers + water.
  • It supports both sludge dewatering and useful fiber recovery.
  • It reduces suspended solids in white water and lowers downstream treatment load.
When Another Configuration May Be Considered
  • If the wastewater contains oil, grease, or floating scum.
  • If the feed contains large impurities without screening.
  • If the target is ultra-clear water, downstream filtration may still be required.
How the Decanter Centrifuge Works in This Application
  1. Paper mill sludge or fiber-rich white water enters the rotating bowl through the feed pipe.
  2. Under centrifugal force, heavier fibers, fillers, and sludge solids move outward.
  3. The screw conveyor continuously pushes the separated solids toward the discharge end.
  4. The clarified liquid phase is discharged through the liquid outlet.
  5. The separated solids can be used for fiber recovery, sludge disposal, drying, or further treatment.

Main Advantages in Paper Mill Sludge Treatment
  • Continuous automatic operation
  • Effective fiber and filler recovery
  • Reduced sludge disposal volume
  • Lower suspended solids in white water
  • Supports water reuse in paper mills
  • Compact footprint
  • Optional wear protection
  • Process design can reduce excessive floc shear
Expected Results

With proper screening, polymer dosing, and stable feeding, this decanter centrifuge can typically achieve:

  • 75–90% fiber / solids recovery rate
  • 60–85% suspended solids reduction
  • 18–35% cake solids content
  • 65–82% final cake moisture
  • 30–60% sludge volume reduction
  • 20–50% lower downstream treatment load
  • 16–24 hours/day continuous operation

Actual results depend on sludge type, fiber content, filler content, polymer dosing, floc strength, and operating settings.

FAQ

Is this machine suitable for deinking sludge?

Yes. It can be used for deinking sludge dewatering, filler separation, and paper fiber recovery.

Can it recover useful fibers?

Yes. The system can help recover pulp fibers from white water or fiber-rich sludge, depending on fiber size and feed condition.

Is polymer dosing required?

Usually yes. Polymer dosing helps improve floc formation, solids capture, and cake dryness.

What should be considered for paper mill sludge?

Key points include fiber recovery rate, floc shear resistance, filler content, abrasion, feed stability, and downstream water reuse requirements.

What information is needed for model selection?

Please provide feed material, capacity, solids content, fiber content, filler content, target cake moisture, target SS reduction, polymer dosing condition, and operating hours.
