,380V horizontal decanter centrifuge

The Industrial Decanter Centrifuge for High-Solids Slurry Thickening is designed for continuous concentration and separation of high-solid-content slurry streams.
It increases slurry solids concentration by removing excess liquid, reducing downstream processing load, storage volume, and transportation costs.
- Mining tailings thickening
- Mineral concentrate slurry treatment
- Chemical process slurry concentration
- Battery material slurry recovery
- Ceramic and mineral powder thickening
- Coal slurry concentration
- Drilling mud treatment
- Industrial sludge thickening
- High-TDS wastewater concentration
- Pretreatment before filtration or drying
High Solid Concentration
High-solids slurry may have poor flowability and difficult pumping characteristics.
Slow Particle Settling
Fine particles may settle slowly due to small particle size, low density difference, or high viscosity.
Large Slurry Volume
Large amounts of dilute slurry increase storage, transportation, and downstream treatment costs.
Difficult Dewatering Performance
Some slurries contain fine particles, clay, or organic components that retain water.
Continuous Processing Requirements
Batch thickening methods may require frequent cleaning and manual operation.

How the Decanter Centrifuge Works
1. Slurry Feeding
High-solids slurry enters the rotating bowl through a controlled feeding system.
2. Solid Sedimentation
Under centrifugal force, solid particles move toward the bowl wall and form a concentrated solids layer.
3. Liquid Clarification
Separated liquid remains in the inner liquid zone and flows toward the liquid discharge outlet.
4. Solids Conveying
The scroll continuously transports thickened solids toward the conical discharge end.
5. Separate Discharge
Clarified liquid and concentrated solids are discharged continuously through separate outlets.

Main Advantages
Efficient Slurry Thickening
High centrifugal force accelerates particle settling and increases solids concentration compared with gravity thickening.
Reduced Downstream Load
Removing excess liquid reduces the volume entering filtration, drying, or disposal processes.
High Solids Recovery
Optimized separation conditions help recover valuable solids and reduce material loss.
Continuous Automatic Operation
The decanter centrifuge enables continuous feeding, thickening, and solids discharge without interruption.
Wear-Resistant Design
For abrasive slurry applications, wear-resistant materials and protective components can be configured to extend equipment service life.

Can a decanter centrifuge handle high-solids slurry?
Yes. It is designed for continuous separation of high-solid-content slurry streams in mining, chemical, and industrial processes.
What is the difference between thickening and dewatering?
Thickening mainly increases solids concentration by removing free liquid, while dewatering further reduces moisture content for handling or disposal.
Can it process abrasive slurry?
Yes. Wear-resistant scrolls, liners, and special materials can be configured for abrasive applications such as mining tailings and mineral slurry.
Can the clarified liquid be reused?
Yes. The separated liquid can be recycled or sent for further treatment depending on process requirements.
How is performance optimized for different slurries?
Performance depends on bowl speed, differential speed, pond depth, feed rate, and slurry characteristics. These parameters can be adjusted according to application requirements.
