,1200KG Bottom Discharge Centrifuge

The Bag Lifting Centrifuge is designed for hygienic batch recovery, washing, and dewatering of filterable crystal products.
It is suitable for food-grade crystals, pharmaceutical intermediates, high-purity fine chemical crystals, and other high-value products that require controlled handling, low product hold-up, and clean batch discharge.
Compared with direct scraping or manual basket cleaning, the bag-lifting design supports more complete cake removal, easier batch changeover, and cleaner handling of valuable products.
- Food-grade crystal dewatering
- Lactose, glucose, fructose, and other sugar crystal recovery
- Food additive crystal separation
- Pharmaceutical intermediate crystal separation
- High-purity fine chemical crystal recovery
- Amino acid crystal harvesting
- Small-batch high-value product recovery
- Batch cake washing and mother liquor removal
- Multi-product hygienic batch separation
- Crystal recovery before drying, screening, or packaging
Peony provides centrifuge equipment and separation support for the batch recovery section between crystallization and downstream drying or packaging.
A typical process arrangement is:
Crystallizer / Reactor → Slurry Holding Tank → Bag Lifting Centrifuge → Filtrate Collection → Optional Cake Washing → Bag Lifting Discharge → Dryer / Screen / Packaging
The separated filtrate can be collected for recovery, recycle, further purification, or treatment according to the process design.
The final product cake can be transferred to vacuum dryers, tray dryers, fluid-bed dryers, screens, mills, or packaging equipment.

Our engineers evaluate:
- Crystal size and cake-forming behavior
- Slurry solids concentration and liquid properties
- Product purity and washing requirement
- Target cake moisture
- Product value and allowable material loss
- Batch capacity and downstream drying conditions
- Product-contact material and hygiene requirements
Equipment Selection
We help customers determine:
- Suitable basket diameter and batch volume
- Filter bag material and micron rating
- Filter support screen configuration
- Feed method and slurry loading quantity
- Cake washing arrangement
- Spin-drying speed and cycle time
- Bag lifting and collection method
- Product-contact material and seal configuration
- Cleaning method, CIP option, and PLC automation level
The crystal slurry enters the rotating basket lined with a filter bag and supporting filter screen.
Under centrifugal force:
- Slurry Feeding
The prepared crystal slurry enters the basket through the feed system. - Liquid Filtration
Mother liquor or process liquid passes through the filter bag and is collected through the filtrate outlet. - Crystal Retention
Crystals are retained inside the basket and gradually form a filter cake on the inner surface of the filter bag. - Optional Cake Washing
Compatible wash liquid can be introduced to reduce residual mother liquor, soluble impurities, salts, or process residues. - Spin Drying
The basket continues rotating at high speed to reduce residual liquid in the crystal cake. - Cycle Completion
The machine stops after the programmed filtration and dewatering cycle is completed. - Bag Lifting Discharge
The filter bag containing the dewatered crystal cake is lifted through the top discharge section. - Product Transfer
The recovered crystals are collected or transferred to downstream drying, screening, milling, packaging, or further processing equipment.
The complete batch cycle can be controlled through PLC operation to maintain repeatable filtration, washing, dewatering, and discharge performance.

Complete Cake Collection
The filter bag retains the product cake throughout filtration and is lifted after the batch cycle. This helps reduce product residue inside the basket and supports more complete collection of high-value crystals.
Controlled Cake Washing
An optional washing system can reduce residual mother liquor and soluble impurities retained between crystals. Wash liquid type, dosage, temperature, and cycle time can be adjusted according to product solubility and purity requirements.
Low Product Hold-Up
The removable filter bag helps reduce material retention inside the machine after discharge. This is especially useful for valuable products where batch yield and material recovery are important.
Cleaner Batch Changeover
The bag can be removed, cleaned, or replaced between batches. This supports easier product changeover and helps reduce carryover risk in multi-product production lines.
Hygienic Product Handling
The centrifuge can be configured with polished stainless-steel product-contact surfaces, hygienic seals, suitable filter bag materials, closed or semi-closed discharge arrangements, and optional CIP cleaning features.
The final configuration should be selected according to product grade, cleaning requirement, process liquid, and required hygiene standard.
| Component | Typical Configuration |
|---|---|
| Product-contact parts | SS304 or SS316L stainless steel |
| Basket and casing | Polished stainless steel construction |
| Filter bag | Food-grade, pharmaceutical-grade, or chemical-compatible filter media |
| Seals and gaskets | EPDM, silicone, PTFE, FKM, or customized materials |
| Surface finish | Selected according to cleanability and product requirements |
| Cleaning method | Manual cleaning, spray-ball cleaning, or CIP configuration |
| Product discharge | Open, semi-closed, or contained bag-lifting arrangement |
| Optional configuration | Load cells, nitrogen protection, explosion-proof motor, or customized PLC control |

What type of products are suitable for a Bag Lifting Centrifuge?
It is suitable for high-value, filterable crystals or precipitated solids that require batch filtration, washing, spin drying, and controlled top discharge.
How does bag lifting improve product recovery?
The filter bag holds the complete cake during separation and is lifted after the cycle. This helps reduce material left inside the basket and simplifies product collection.
Can the crystal cake be washed before discharge?
Yes. An optional wash system can be used to displace residual mother liquor, salts, or soluble impurities before final spin drying.
Is the machine suitable for food-grade or high-purity products?
It can be configured with hygienic stainless-steel contact parts, sanitary seals, polished surfaces, suitable filter bags, and optional CIP cleaning features according to the required product standard.
Can the centrifuge handle multiple products on one line?
Yes. The removable filter bag supports easier cleaning, replacement, and product changeover between batches. The final cleaning procedure should be confirmed according to the required product purity level.
