Centrifuge PPTD adalah peralatan tipe penutupan kedap udara yang digunakan atas.

Bahan dimasukkan ke dalam drum melalui pipa makan pada casing penutup kedap udara; di bawah aksi medan gaya centrifuge, fase cair melewati media filter dan dikeluarkan dari mesin, sementara bahan fase padat dipertahankan di dalam drum dan, setelah mesin berhenti, bahan dibuang dari atas.
