Efficient Chroma Reduction Two Phase Decanter Centrifuge for Textile, Dyeing and Tannery Sludge

Efficient Chroma Reduction Two Phase Decanter Centrifuge for Textile, Dyeing and Tannery Sludge 0

Description

Textile, Dyeing & Tannery Sludge Decanter is designed for continuous solid-liquid separation of textile dyeing sludge, biochemical sludge, dyeing residue, tannery chromium-containing sludge, and rubber / latex flocculated sludge.

For most textile, dyeing, and tannery wastewater applications, the recommended configuration is a two-phase decanter centrifuge because the main target is to separate flocculated sludge solids from wastewater after reaction, precipitation, and polymer flocculation.

Best-Fit Applications
  • Textile dyeing chemical sludge
  • Textile biochemical sludge
  • Yarn dyeing residue
  • Tannery chromium-containing sludge
  • Rubber / latex flocculated sludge
  • Printing and dyeing wastewater sludge

Typical materials include chemical flocs, fibers, dyeing sludge, biological sludge, chromium-containing sludge, latex flocs, and wastewater.

Why Two-Phase is Recommended
  • The feed mainly contains sludge solids + wastewater.
  • It is suitable for sludge after reaction precipitation and flocculation.
  • It supports sludge dewatering, volume reduction, and lower disposal cost.
When Another Configuration May Be Considered
  • If the feed contains oil, grease, or floating scum.
  • If the liquid requires very high clarity, downstream filtration may be needed.
  • If the sludge is highly corrosive, special material selection is required.
How the Decanter Centrifuge Works in This Application
  1. Textile or tannery sludge enters the rotating bowl through the feed pipe.
  2. Under centrifugal force, heavier flocculated solids, fibers, and precipitated particles move outward.
  3. The screw conveyor continuously pushes the separated sludge cake toward the discharge end.
  4. The clarified liquid phase is discharged through the liquid outlet.
  5. The sludge cake is collected for further drying, stabilization, or disposal.

Main Advantages in Textile & Tannery Sludge Treatment
  • Continuous automatic operation
  • Suitable for dyeing and tannery sludge
  • Reduced sludge volume and disposal cost
  • Stable cake discharge after proper flocculation
  • Optional anti-corrosion material design
  • Compatible with common chemical dosing systems
  • Helps reduce suspended solids before downstream treatment
Expected Results

With proper reaction precipitation, flocculation, and stable feeding, this decanter centrifuge can typically achieve:

  • 75–95% solid capture rate
  • 60–90% suspended solids reduction
  • 18–35% cake solids content
  • 65–82% final cake moisture
  • 30–60% sludge volume reduction
  • 20–45% lower sludge handling / disposal load
  • 16–24 hours/day continuous operation

For color, chromium, or specific pollutants, the decanter mainly separates precipitated or flocculated solids. Dissolved color or dissolved chromium removal depends on upstream chemical reaction and wastewater treatment design.

FAQ

Is this machine suitable for dyeing wastewater sludge?

Yes. It is suitable for textile dyeing chemical sludge, biochemical sludge, and yarn dyeing residue after proper flocculation.

Can it handle tannery chromium-containing sludge?

Yes, but material selection and corrosion protection should be confirmed according to pH, chromium content, chloride, sulfide, and chemical dosing conditions.

Is polymer dosing required?

Usually yes. Polymer dosing helps improve floc formation, solid capture, and cake dryness.

Can it remove color from wastewater?

The decanter removes color mainly when color compounds are converted into precipitated or flocculated solids. Dissolved color requires upstream chemical or biological treatment.
