Description

The Peony Decanter Centrifuge for Kaolin Slurry Dewatering is designed for the continuous thickening, dewatering, and recovery of kaolin slurry generated during wet beneficiation, washing, classification, and impurity-removal processes.

It separates fine kaolin solids from process water by centrifugal force. The screw conveyor continuously transports the settled kaolin solids toward the discharge end, while clarified liquid flows out through the liquid outlet for recycle or further treatment.

How the Decanter Centrifuge Works in Kaolin Slurry Dewatering

1. Kaolin Slurry Feeding

Kaolin slurry enters the rotating bowl through a controlled feed pipe.

The feed system should maintain stable slurry flow and prevent settling in the pipeline or buffer tank.

2. Centrifugal Sedimentation

Inside the high-speed rotating bowl, centrifugal force separates kaolin solids from water.

Heavier solid particles settle against the bowl wall, while clarified liquid forms the inner liquid layer.

3. Continuous Solids Conveying

The internal screw conveyor rotates at a slightly different speed from the bowl.

This differential speed moves the settled kaolin solids toward the conical end of the bowl for continuous discharge.

4. Clarified Liquid Discharge

The separated liquid flows toward the liquid outlet and can be returned to the kaolin washing circuit, reused as process water, or sent to further treatment.

5. Dewatered Kaolin Discharge
