Product Description
Excellent Corrosion Resistance Structure Two Phase Decanter Centrifuge for Landfill Leachate and Hazardous

Excellent Corrosion Resistance Structure Two Phase Decanter Centrifuge for Landfill Leachate and Hazardous 0

Description

Landfill Leachate & Hazardous Waste Sludge Decanter is designed for continuous solid-liquid separation of chemical sludge and biochemical sludge generated from landfill leachate, hazardous waste treatment, incineration wastewater, and medical wastewater systems.

For most landfill leachate and hazardous sludge applications, the recommended configuration is a two-phase decanter centrifuge because the main target is to separate solid sludge from wastewater, reduce sludge volume, and lower disposal risk.

Best-Fit Applications
  • Landfill leachate chemical sludge
  • Landfill leachate biochemical sludge
  • Incineration plant wastewater sludge
  • Hazardous waste neutralization sludge
  • Medical wastewater sludge
  • High-salt wastewater treatment sludge

Typical materials include chemical sludge, biochemical sludge, flocculated solids, inorganic precipitates, organic sludge, and high-salt wastewater sludge.

Why Two-Phase is Recommended
  • The feed mainly contains sludge solids + wastewater.
  • It is suitable for sludge after neutralization and flocculation.
  • It helps reduce sludge volume and improve hazardous sludge handling safety.
When Another Configuration May Be Considered
  • If the feed contains oil, grease, or floating scum.
  • If the sludge is highly abrasive or contains hard particles.
  • If the liquid phase requires very high clarity, downstream filtration may be needed.
How the Decanter Centrifuge Works in This Application
  1. Landfill leachate sludge or hazardous wastewater sludge enters the rotating bowl.
  2. Under centrifugal force, heavier sludge particles move outward and form a sediment layer.
  3. The screw conveyor continuously pushes the separated sludge cake toward the discharge end.
  4. The clarified liquid phase is discharged through the liquid outlet.
  5. The sludge cake is collected for stabilization, drying, incineration, or hazardous waste disposal.

Typical Feed Conditions and Design Considerations
Item Typical Range / What to Confirm
Feed material Landfill leachate sludge, hazardous waste sludge, incineration wastewater sludge
Solids content Usually 2–12%
Oil content Usually low; confirm if oil exists
Particle characteristics Fine, flocculated, corrosive, sometimes sticky
Viscosity Low to medium
Temperature Usually 20–70°C
Corrosion risk Medium to high; confirm chloride, salt, ammonia nitrogen, pH
Capacity requirement Confirm by m³/h or tons/day
Target result Sludge dewatering, volume reduction, safer disposal
Main Advantages in Hazardous Sludge Dewatering
  • Continuous automatic operation
  • Reduced sludge storage volume
  • Lower hazardous sludge disposal cost
  • Suitable for high-salt and high-ammonia-nitrogen wastewater sludge
  • Optional anti-corrosion material design
  • More stable sludge cake discharge
  • Reduced risk in sludge handling and transport
Expected Results

With proper neutralization, flocculation, and stable feeding, this decanter centrifuge can typically achieve:

  • 75–95% solid capture rate
  • 60–90% suspended solids reduction
  • 18–35% cake solids content
  • 65–82% final cake moisture
  • 30–60% sludge volume reduction
  • 20–45% lower sludge handling / disposal load
  • 16–24 hours/day continuous operation

Actual results depend on sludge composition, salt content, ammonia nitrogen level, pH, polymer dosing, floc strength, and corrosion conditions.

FAQ

Is this machine suitable for landfill leachate sludge?

Yes. It is suitable for chemical sludge and biochemical sludge from landfill leachate treatment systems.

Can it handle high-salt sludge?

Yes, but material selection is important. For high-salt and corrosive sludge, anti-corrosion materials should be considered.

Is polymer dosing required?

Usually yes. Polymer dosing helps improve floc formation, solid capture, and cake dryness.

Can the liquid phase be discharged directly?

Not usually. The clarified liquid normally returns to the wastewater treatment system for further treatment.

What information is needed for model selection?

Please provide feed material, capacity, solids content, pH, salt content, ammonia nitrogen level, temperature, polymer dosing condition, and target cake moisture.
