Description
The Model PP-40 Two-stage Pusher Centrifuge is an advanced type of perforated basket centrifuge that operates continuously and efficiently. It is designed for the separation of mixtures. The centrifuge consists of two stages: the first stage basket and the second stage basket.
Here's how the centrifuge works:
1. Feeding and Distribution: The mixture to be separated is fed continuously and evenly into the first stage basket through a feeding pipe and a distributor. The distributor ensures uniform distribution of the mixture across the basket.
2. Separation in the First Stage: When the mixture enters the first stage basket, the centrifugal force acts on it. As a result, most of the mother liquor (liquid) in the mixture separates and passes through the sieves of the basket. The separated mother liquor collects in a casing and is discharged from the centrifuge.
3. Reciprocation and Pushing: The first stage basket not only rotates but also reciprocates. This reciprocating motion helps in pushing the formed product cake from the first stage basket into the second stage basket.
4. Second Stage Separation: Once the cake reaches the second stage basket, it experiences more centrifugal force. This additional force allows for better separation and ensures the desired moisture content of the cake is achieved. The cake is retained in the basket while the remaining liquid is discharged.
5. Continuous Cake Discharge: The cake, after reaching the desired moisture content, is continuously discharged from the basket. This allows for a continuous and uninterrupted separation process.
6. Washing Capability: The two-stage pusher centrifuge also offers effective washing capabilities. If a high purity level for the solid product is required, the centrifuge can carry out a washing process. Washing agents and mother liquor can be discharged separately if necessary.
