Corrosion-Resistant Industrial Decanter Centrifuge for Hazardous waste sludge 0
Description

Corrosion-Resistant Industrial Decanter Centrifuge is designed for continuous solid-liquid separation of corrosive industrial sludge.

Compared with general-purpose decanter centrifuges, this model focuses on anti-corrosion material selection, chemical compatibility, stable sludge dewatering, and reduced downtime caused by corrosion-related wear or damage.

Typical Corrosive Applications
  • Acidic process slurry separation
  • Alkaline process slurry separation
  • Acid pickling residue slurry treatment
  • Alkali washing residue slurry treatment
  • Corrosive reaction sludge dewatering
  • Corrosive mother liquor solid-liquid separation
  • Acid / alkali neutralization residue separation
  • Corrosive industrial precipitated sludge treatment
  • Hazardous waste pretreatment slurry with corrosive liquid phase

Key Anti-Corrosion Configuration Options
Configuration Item Available Options / Purpose
Contact material SUS304, SUS316L, duplex stainless steel, or special corrosion-resistant material
Bowl material Selected according to pH, chloride, salt content, and temperature
Screw conveyor Corrosion-resistant material with optional wear protection
Feed zone Reinforced design for corrosive and abrasive feed entry
Liquid outlet Anti-corrosion design for acidic/alkaline liquid phase
Solid discharge port Corrosion-resistant and wear-protected discharge structure
Sealing design Selected according to odor, corrosive vapor, or chemical volatility
Cover and casing Stainless steel or customized anti-corrosion structure
Control system PLC / VFD control, torque protection, vibration alarm, operation monitoring
Skid-mounted option Feed pump, dosing unit, control cabinet, pipelines, valves, and tanks can be integrated

For highly corrosive materials, final material selection should be confirmed based on actual chemical composition.

Where Corrosion Risk Usually Appears
Feed Zone

The feed zone is the first area exposed to corrosive slurry. If the liquid phase contains acid, alkali, or chemical residue, the feed chamber and feed pipe should be selected carefully.

Bowl Inner Surface

The bowl is continuously exposed to both solids and corrosive liquid. Material selection must consider pH, temperature, and chemical compatibility.

Screw Conveyor

The screw conveyor contacts both wet solids and liquid phase. For corrosive slurry with abrasive particles, both corrosion resistance and local wear protection may be required.

Liquid Outlet

The liquid outlet handles clarified corrosive liquid continuously. This area should not be treated as a standard water discharge point.

Solid Discharge Port

The discharged cake may still contain corrosive moisture. The discharge port should be protected to reduce corrosion and wear.

Sealing and Cover Area

If the material produces corrosive vapor or odor, sealing design and cover material should be considered together.

How the Decanter Centrifuge Works in Corrosive Sludge
  1. Corrosive industrial sludge enters the rotating bowl through the feed pipe.
  2. Under high-speed centrifugal force, heavier solid particles, chemical precipitates, and flocculated sludge move outward and form a sediment layer on the inner wall of the bowl.
  3. The clarified liquid phase stays closer to the center and is discharged continuously through the liquid outlet.
  4. At the same time, the screw conveyor rotates at a controlled differential speed and pushes the separated sludge cake toward the discharge end.

Main Advantages in Corrosive Process Conditions
Customized Anti-Corrosion Material Selection

Material can be selected according to pH value, process temperature, corrosive liquid phase, solvent residue, and chemical composition.

Reduced Corrosion-Related Downtime

Proper material selection helps reduce corrosion damage, leakage risk, unexpected shutdown, and frequent repair caused by unsuitable contact materials.

Contact-Part Protection

Key contact areas such as the bowl, screw conveyor, feed zone, liquid outlet, discharge port, cover, and sealing area can be configured for corrosive media.

Stable Operation in Acidic and Alkaline Slurry

The machine supports continuous solid-liquid separation in acidic or alkaline industrial process slurry where standard material may not be reliable.

Optional Wear Protection

If the corrosive material also contains abrasive particles, wear protection can be added to key areas while keeping corrosion resistance in mind.

Continuous Automatic Operation

PLC control, VFD adjustment, torque protection, vibration alarm, and operation monitoring can support long-hour industrial operation under stable feed conditions.

Expected Results

With suitable material selection, stable feeding, and proper operating conditions, this corrosion-resistant industrial decanter centrifuge can typically help achieve:

  • Reduced corrosion-related maintenance risk
  • Lower leakage and contact-part failure risk
  • More stable operation in acidic or alkaline slurry
  • Longer service life of bowl, screw conveyor, outlet, and cover parts
  • 75–95% solid capture rate, depending on feed condition
  • 60–90% suspended solids reduction, depending on separation target
  • 18–35% cake solids content, depending on sludge characteristics
  • 16–24 hours/day continuous operation under stable feed and proper maintenance conditions

Actual results depend on pH, temperature, chemical composition, solids content, particle characteristics, flocculation effect, feed stability, and material compatibility.

FAQ
What is a corrosion-resistant industrial decanter centrifuge?

It is a decanter centrifuge designed for corrosive industrial sludge conditions. The contact material and structure can be customized according to pH, chloride content, salt concentration, temperature, and chemical composition.

What materials can be used for corrosive slurry?

Common options include SUS304, SUS316L, duplex stainless steel, or special corrosion-resistant materials. The final selection should be based on actual feed composition and operating temperature.

Can it handle acidic and alkaline materials?

Yes. It can be configured for acidic or alkaline process slurry, but the pH value, temperature, and chemical composition must be confirmed before material selection.

Is polymer dosing required?

It depends on the material. Polymer dosing may improve floc formation and solid capture, but it is not the main factor for corrosion resistance. Material selection should be confirmed first.

Can this machine run continuously?

Yes. It can be configured for continuous industrial operation. Stable feeding, suitable material selection, proper maintenance, and correct operating parameters are important for long-hour operation.
