How the Decanter Centrifuge Works

1. Zirconia Slurry Feeding

Zirconia slurry enters the rotating bowl through a controlled feed pipe.

An agitated tank helps prevent particle settling and maintains a stable feed concentration.

2. Centrifugal Sedimentation

High-speed rotation separates zirconia particles from the liquid phase.

The dense solids move outward and form a layer against the bowl wall, while clarified liquid remains closer to the center.

3. Continuous Solids Conveying

The screw conveyor rotates at a controlled differential speed.

It continuously transports the settled zirconia solids toward the conical end for further dewatering.

4. Clarified Liquid Discharge

The separated liquid leaves through the liquid outlet.

It can be reused in washing or grinding, sent to polishing filtration, or transferred to wastewater treatment.

5. Thickened Zirconia Solids Discharge

Concentrated zirconia solids are discharged continuously.

The recovered slurry can be transferred to a filter press, spray dryer, dryer, storage tank, or reprocessing system.
