NSK Basket Centrifuge
,SS304 Industrial Basket Centrifuge
,Basket Centrifuge For Separating Cooked Grain
The Scraper Bottom Discharge Centrifuge is designed for batch filtration, cake washing, dewatering, and automatic discharge of filterable boric acid crystals.
It is suitable for boric acid crystallization processes where crystal slurry contains boric acid crystals, acidic mother liquor, dissolved impurities, fines, and residual wash liquid. The separation stage must remove mother liquor efficiently, support controlled washing when required, reduce liquid carryover before drying, and discharge the recovered crystals with limited manual handling.
This configuration is suitable for boric acid production lines with stable, filterable crystals and downstream drying, screening, storage, or packaging systems. Final material selection should be confirmed according to mother liquor acidity, chloride content, temperature, and wash-liquid conditions.

1. Boric Acid Slurry Feeding
Boric acid crystal slurry enters the rotating basket through a controlled feed system. The feed rate is adjusted to support even cake buildup and reduce localized overloading.
2. Mother Liquor Filtration
Acidic mother liquor passes through the filter medium and basket perforations before leaving through the filtrate outlet.
3. Crystal Retention
Boric acid crystals remain inside the basket while the liquid phase is discharged.
4. Filter Cake Formation
As feeding continues, retained crystals gradually form a stable filter cake on the inner basket wall.
5. Optional Cake Washing
Compatible wash liquid can be introduced to reduce residual mother liquor, dissolved impurities, color-bearing liquor, or unwanted soluble residues retained between crystals.
Wash-liquid type, temperature, volume, and wash sequence should be selected carefully to improve product purity while limiting unnecessary boric acid dissolution.
6. Final Spin Dewatering
The basket continues rotating to reduce free liquid retained in the boric acid crystal cake.
7. Scraper Cake Removal
After the programmed dewatering cycle is complete, the scraper mechanism removes the filter cake from the basket wall.
8. Bottom Product Discharge
The washed and dewatered boric acid crystals are discharged through the bottom outlet and transferred to a dryer, screen, conveyor, storage hopper, or packaging system.

Automatic Bottom Cake Discharge
The scraper mechanism removes the dewatered crystal cake automatically through the bottom outlet, reducing manual unloading requirements.
Controlled Mother Liquor Removal
Basket filtration and spin dewatering reduce mother liquor retained in the boric acid crystal cake before downstream drying or packaging.
Optional Low-Loss Cake Washing
A controlled wash step can reduce residual soluble impurities and mother liquor. Wash conditions can be reviewed to balance purity improvement and boric acid recovery.
Suitable for Filterable Crystal Slurry
The equipment is suitable for boric acid crystals that can form a stable and permeable cake inside the basket.
Reduced Dryer Load
Final spin dewatering helps reduce free liquid in the cake before the product enters drying equipment.

Is a scraper bottom discharge centrifuge suitable for boric acid crystal dewatering?
Yes, provided the boric acid crystals are filterable and can form a stable cake inside the basket. Final selection depends on crystal size, fines content, mother liquor chemistry, and required capacity.
Can boric acid crystals be washed inside the centrifuge?
Yes. An optional cake-washing system can be configured to reduce residual mother liquor and soluble impurities before final spin dewatering.
Will cake washing cause boric acid product loss?
It can if wash liquid, wash temperature, or wash volume are not properly controlled. The wash system should be selected according to boric acid solubility and the required purity target.
Can mother liquor be recycled?
Yes. The separated mother liquor can be returned to the crystallization loop, routed to recovery, or sent for further treatment according to the process design.
Is automatic discharge available?
Yes. The scraper mechanism automatically removes the dewatered boric acid cake and discharges it through the bottom outlet.
