drilling mud decanter centrifuge
,solid liquid centrifuge
The Decanter Centrifuge for Coagulated Blood Separation is designed for continuous separation of coagulated blood solids from liquid components in animal processing and by-product recovery applications.
It is suitable for slaughterhouse blood treatment, animal by-product processing, blood meal production pretreatment, and organic waste separation. The centrifuge uses high centrifugal force to separate coagulated blood particles from liquid, improving solid recovery and reducing moisture content before further processing.
In blood processing, the main challenges include high organic load, sticky coagulated solids, rapid spoilage risk, difficult solid-liquid separation, and strict hygiene requirements. The decanter centrifuge provides continuous operation, efficient dewatering, and stable separation performance for animal processing plants.
- Coagulated blood dewatering
- Slaughterhouse blood treatment
- Blood meal production pretreatment
- Animal by-product recovery
- Organic waste solid-liquid separation
- Rendering plant wastewater treatment
- Protein-rich solid recovery
- Food processing waste treatment
High Organic Load
Animal blood contains high concentrations of proteins and organic materials, requiring efficient separation to avoid waste and processing issues.
Sticky Coagulated Solids
Coagulated blood solids have strong adhesion characteristics, making conveying and discharge difficult.
High Moisture Content
Fresh coagulated blood contains a large amount of water, increasing drying energy consumption during blood meal production.
Rapid Material Deterioration
Blood materials can deteriorate quickly after collection, requiring fast and continuous processing.
Fine Solid Particle Separation
Small blood particles may remain suspended in liquid, reducing recovery efficiency.
Strict Hygiene Requirements
Animal by-product processing requires corrosion-resistant and easy-to-clean equipment for hygienic operation.

How the Decanter Centrifuge Works
1. Sunflower Oil Feeding
Crude sunflower oil containing moisture and solid impurities enters the rotating bowl.
2. Solid Sedimentation
Under centrifugal force, heavier solid particles move toward the bowl wall and form a concentrated solids layer.
3. Liquid Separation
Oil and water separate according to density differences inside the rotating bowl.
4. Solids Conveying
The scroll continuously transports separated solids toward the discharge outlet.
5. Continuous Discharge
Clarified sunflower oil, separated water, and solid residues are discharged continuously.

Main Advantages
Improved Crude Oil Recovery
Recovers hydrocarbons from sludge and reduces oil loss before disposal or further treatment.
Handling of Heavy Crude Residues
Heating and high-torque conveying support viscous sludge containing wax, asphaltenes, and heavy oil.
Sand and Rust Separation
Wear-protected components handle abrasive sand, scale, rust, and tank sediment.
Stable Separation with Variable Feed
Adjustable bowl speed, differential speed, and phase interface adapt to changing oil, water, and solids ratios.
Lower Downstream Treatment Load
Removing oil and solids reduces the volume sent to thermal treatment, wastewater treatment, or hazardous-waste disposal.
Please provide:
- Oil, water, and solids percentages
- Temperature and viscosity
- Particle size and solids type
- Required processing capacity
- Oil recovery and water targets
- Safety and downstream requirements
Is heating required for crude-oil sludge?
It is commonly recommended for waxy or high-viscosity sludge. The required temperature depends on the crude-oil properties and plant safety limits.
Can the centrifuge process tank-bottom sand and rust?
Yes, after coarse foreign materials are removed. Wear-resistant protection is recommended for highly abrasive feeds.
Can it separate stable crude-oil emulsions?
Stable emulsions may require heating, demulsifier dosing, dilution, and controlled mixing before centrifugation.
Can recovered oil return directly to storage?
Not automatically. Water, sediment, salt, and contaminant levels should be tested before blending or reprocessing.
Can separated water go directly to discharge?
Usually not. Residual oil, suspended solids, COD, salts, and chemicals may require further oily-water treatment.
