The prepared fine chemical crystal slurry enters the rotating basket lined with a filter bag and supporting filter screen.
Under centrifugal force:
- Mother liquor or solvent-rich process liquid passes through the filter bag and is collected through the filtrate outlet.

- A crystal cake gradually forms on the inner surface of the filter bag.
