The Bag Lifting Centrifuge is designed for batch separation, washing, and recovery of erythritol crystals after crystallization.
Erythritol slurry normally contains crystal product, mother liquor, dissolved impurities, and fine crystals. The separation stage must remove mother liquor efficiently while protecting crystal quality, limiting product loss during washing, and allowing clean collection before drying or packaging.
This configuration is suitable for food-grade erythritol production, refined crystal recovery, recrystallization processes, and other batch operations where clean handling, low product residue, and flexible changeover are important.
- Food-grade erythritol crystal separation
- High-purity erythritol crystal recovery
- Erythritol recrystallization product recovery
- Mother liquor removal after erythritol crystallization
- Erythritol crystal washing before drying
- Sugar alcohol crystal batch processing
- Fine crystal product collection before screening or packaging
- High-value water-soluble crystal recovery
- Small-to-medium batch sweetener production
- Multi-product food ingredient separation lines
Peony provides the batch solid-liquid separation section between erythritol crystallization and downstream drying, screening, or packaging.
Erythritol Crystallizer → Slurry Holding Tank → Bag Lifting Centrifuge → Mother Liquor Collection / Recycle → Optional Cake Washing → Spin Drying → Filter Bag Lifting → Dryer / Screen / Packaging

1. Crystal Slurry Feeding
Erythritol crystal slurry enters the rotating basket lined with a suitable filter bag.
2. Mother Liquor Filtration
Mother liquor passes through the filter bag and is collected through the filtrate outlet.
3. Crystal Retention
Erythritol crystals remain inside the filter bag while the liquid phase is discharged.
4. Cake Formation
The retained crystals gradually form a stable filter cake inside the bag.
5. Optional Cake Washing
Compatible wash liquid can be introduced to reduce residual mother liquor, soluble impurities, or color-bearing liquor retained between crystals.
6. Spin Drying
The basket continues rotating to reduce free liquid retained in the erythritol crystal cake.
7. Machine Stop and Top Opening
After the programmed separation cycle is complete, the centrifuge stops and the top cover is opened.
8. Filter Bag Lifting and Product Collection
The filter bag containing the dewatered erythritol crystals is lifted out and transferred to a collection bin, dryer feed station, screening section, or downstream handling system.

Cleaner Batch Product Collection
The filter bag holds the crystal cake as one contained batch, helping reduce product residue inside the basket during discharge.
Flexible Cake Washing
A controlled wash stage can reduce mother liquor carryover before drying while helping protect product purity.
Suitable for Food Ingredient Processing
The equipment can be configured with cleanable product-contact surfaces, suitable seal materials, food-compatible filter bags, and hygienic handling arrangements as required.
Lower Residual Product Hold-Up
Bag lifting supports direct cake removal and can reduce the need for manual scraping inside the basket.
Easier Product Changeover
The removable bag arrangement supports filter media replacement, cleaning, and batch changeover for multi-product food ingredient lines.

Is a Bag Lifting Centrifuge suitable for erythritol crystal separation?
Yes, provided the erythritol crystals can form a stable and filterable cake. It is particularly suitable for batch production where clean product collection and low residue are important.
Can erythritol crystals be washed inside the centrifuge?
Yes. An optional wash system can be configured to reduce residual mother liquor and improve crystal cleanliness. Washing conditions should be controlled to limit unnecessary product dissolution.
Why use a filter bag for erythritol crystal recovery?
The filter bag holds the crystal cake during removal, helping reduce material residue inside the basket and supporting contained batch collection.
Can mother liquor be recycled?
Yes. The separated mother liquor can be returned to the crystallization section, routed for recovery, or sent to further treatment according to the overall process design.
Can the crystal cake be sent directly to a dryer?
Yes. The lifted bag or collected erythritol cake can be transferred to a fluid-bed dryer, vacuum dryer, tray dryer, screening system, or packaging section.
