disk stack centrifuge
,solid bowl centrifuges
The Bag Lifting Centrifuge is designed for batch recovery, washing, and dewatering of delicate, high-value, or easily damaged filterable crystals.
Some crystals can be affected by aggressive manual scraping, excessive handling, uneven feeding, strong wash flow, or repeated transfer between equipment. In these cases, the separation target is not only to remove mother liquor. The process must also maintain crystal integrity, reduce product residue, and support cleaner collection after each batch.
This discharge method helps reduce direct scraping from the basket wall and can lower unnecessary handling during product collection. It is suitable for small- to medium-batch duties where product value, crystal appearance, particle integrity, or cleaner batch transfer are important.
- Delicate crystal batch recovery
- Large crystal dewatering after crystallization
- High-value crystal collection with reduced handling
- Fragile filter cake recovery before drying
- Recrystallized product collection
- Low-scraping batch crystal discharge
- Controlled cake washing before final drying
- Small-batch specialty chemical crystal separation

1. Controlled Crystal Slurry Feeding
Crystal slurry enters the rotating basket lined with a suitable filter bag. Feed rate is controlled to support even loading and reduce excessive crystal movement.
2. Mother Liquor Filtration
Mother liquor or process liquid passes through the filter bag and basket perforations before leaving through the filtrate outlet.
3. Crystal Retention
The retained crystals remain inside the filter bag while the liquid phase is discharged.
4. Stable Cake Formation
As feeding continues, the crystals form a stable filter cake inside the bag. Cake thickness is controlled according to crystal condition and required cycle time.
5. Optional Gentle Cake Washing
Compatible wash liquid can be introduced to reduce residual mother liquor, soluble impurities, or color-bearing liquor retained between crystals.
For soluble or fragile products, wash flow, wash volume, and wash sequence should be selected carefully to limit unnecessary crystal dissolution or mechanical disturbance.
6. Spin Drying
The basket continues rotating to reduce free liquid retained in the crystal cake before discharge.
7. Machine Stop and Top Opening
After the programmed separation cycle is complete, the centrifuge stops and the top cover is opened.
8. Whole-Bag Lifting and Product Collection
The filter bag containing the dewatered crystal cake is lifted out and transferred to a collection bin, dryer feed station, screen, storage bin, or packaging process.

Gentle Whole-Bag Cake Collection
The crystal cake remains inside the removable filter bag during discharge. This reduces the need for direct scraping from the basket wall and supports more controlled product collection.
Reduced Manual Scraping
Manual scraping can disturb fragile, large, or high-value crystals. Whole-bag lifting helps reduce direct contact between tools and the retained cake.
Controlled Batch Handling
Feed rate, washing sequence, spin time, and discharge timing can be adjusted according to crystal strength, particle size, cake thickness, and target moisture.
Cleaner Product Transfer
The lifted bag can be moved directly to a collection bin, dryer feed station, or downstream handling point. This can reduce unnecessary transfer steps and product loss between separation and drying.
Suitable for High-Value Products
For products where material loss, crystal damage, or residual hold-up has a direct impact on production value, contained bag discharge provides a more controlled collection method.

Is a Bag Lifting Centrifuge suitable for fragile crystals?
It can be suitable when the crystals are filterable and able to form a stable cake. The bag lifting arrangement helps reduce direct basket-wall scraping and supports more controlled product collection.
Does bag lifting guarantee zero crystal breakage?
No. Crystal breakage depends on the material itself and the actual operating conditions, including feed rate, basket speed, cake thickness, washing method, and downstream transfer arrangement.
Why is this design suitable for high-value crystal recovery?
The whole-bag discharge method can reduce residual product inside the basket, reduce manual scraping, and simplify transfer to downstream equipment.
Can crystals be washed inside the centrifuge?
Yes. An optional washing system can reduce residual mother liquor or soluble impurities. Wash liquid and wash volume should be selected carefully for soluble or delicate products.
Can the crystal cake be transferred directly to a dryer?
Yes. The lifted filter bag or collection bin can be connected with a vacuum dryer, tray dryer, fluid-bed dryer, screen, storage bin, or packaging system.
