The decanter Centrifuge is used for continuous solid-liquid separation in CBD oil extraction, hemp processing, plant extraction, and botanical slurry clarification.

During extraction, plant fibers, fine solids, waxes, and suspended particles may remain in the extraction liquid. The decanter centrifuge separates these solids from the liquid phase under high centrifugal force, helping improve extract clarity, reduce downstream filtration load, and support continuous production.

Working Principle

The typical process is:

Plant Extraction Slurry Feeding → High-Speed Bowl Rotation → Solid Sedimentation → Screw Conveyor Discharge → Clarified Extract Outlet → Continuous Operation

During operation, CBD extraction slurry enters the rotating bowl through the feed pipe. Under centrifugal force, plant fibers and suspended solids settle on the bowl wall. The screw conveyor continuously pushes the separated solids to the discharge outlet, while the clarified liquid extract flows out through the liquid outlet.

The bowl speed and differential speed can be adjusted by VFD control to match different feed concentration, particle size, solvent type, and clarification requirements.
